News Website Prototyping
I have created a website for the news “Daily Unity.” The name was inspired after the Christchurch terrorist attacks. This is because the news is a place where people around the world, I saw a lot of this since the attack. The website is simplistic with monochromatic colours as I wanted it to be clear of the information that is provided on the pages. However, I added in simple elements for that clean look to be more appealing. For the home and category pages the news all have a white rectangle with a shadow around them, this makes these bits of news stand out more. The website has a lot of different elements. One of the elements include filter buttons in the category pages, this way people can engage with what they actually want to see. There are also pop up notifications which can allow users to have a choice of checking it out or not. They also have the choice to comment on articles to write their opinions. There are also like, dislike and report buttons provided with the comments as the news can bring a lot of controversy and politics. Some of the news is really sensitive that some of the articles have comments are disabled section. I have also created a seperate page for podcasts as it is something that people rely on for news along with videos, again people can filter out what they want to watch. I tried to provide as much user interactivity as possible, so people are engaged with the website and their journeys last longer. Overall, Daily Unity is a place where everyone around the world can unite with one another through the news. Software: Adobe XD (2019)
